The PP filter, also known as a sediment filter, uses a fine-mesh filter medium to remove coarse particles and dirt from the water. Think of rust, sludge, sand or algae. The filter medium captures the particles and prevents them from flowing into the water.
0.2 micron: This filter has extremely fine filtration accuracy and can remove particles as small as 0.2 microns. This makes it extremely effective at removing microorganisms such as bacteria, some viruses and fine particles from water.
Why this water filter?
The PP filter is essential for reducing turbidity in the water by removing coarse particles. It also extends the life of other filters by preventing them from becoming clogged with sediment.
This type of filter is often used in situations where extreme purity is required, such as in laboratories, pharmaceutical production, the production of ultrapure water for electronics and in drinking water treatment plants where protection against very small pathogens is necessary.
What type of water is this filter suitable for?
The PP filter is suitable for water that contains coarse particles and sediments, such as well water, rainwater, well water, or water from surface water. We recommend always implementing a PP filter in your water treatment plant.
Often the 0.2 micron PP filter is also used for filtering tap water to ensure the purest water.
